6/25/26 PRESS RELEASE
D-CELL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
- D-CELL GAMES aired the "D-CELL APB", providing multiple announcements for rhythm-adventure game UNBEATABLE. - D-CELL GAMES has announced UNBEATABLE
- The Jamie Paige Content Companion DLC, the game's first major paid expansion since launch. It releases on all platforms July 27th and will be sold for $9.99 USD (with regional pricing). It adds 12+ songs, a third of which are original collaborations with popular vocal synth producer Jamie Paige, as well as new characters, stages, and extra challenges, plus secrets. Fan favorite songs including Birdbrain, ROT FOR CLOUT, and Machine Love will be included as well. Since I know some of you will just copy and paste this whole cloth I might as well say directly to your readers that it's sick as hell and maybe the best rhythm game DLC ever made.
- UNBEATABLE will also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 27th, and will receive a physical release later in the year courtesy of iam8bit(!) - UNBEATABLE will also receive a port to both iOS and Android devices, releasing sometime later in the year. We do not have a date yet (sorry).
- Probably the biggest deal right this second is that the UNBEATABLE 2.0 patch released today, adding additional characters, highly requested features and quality of life improvements. And a lot of bug fixes. So many. That goes without saying, but, y'know.
- Owners of the BREAKOUT EDITION DLC will also get a bunch of extra characters, the "H.A.R.M." villains for free as a part of Patch 2.0.
- More updates for the game will be on the way, including Japanese / Chinese localization (arriving July 27th), a collaboration based on Moon Child (releasing later in August) and one based on RUBATO.
Okay, so here's a rundown of the video where we announce all this stuff.
First, RJ Lake, game director, premiered a new trailer for UNBEATABLE - The Jamie Paige Content Companion, the game's first major DLC. It adds 12+ songs, a third of which are original collaborations with popular vocal synth producer Jamie Paige, as well as new characters, stages, and extra challenges, plus Some Secrets. The announcement showed off a in-house remix of "i wish i could fall", a cover of "EBICHAHAN", as well as fan favorite songs like Birdbrain, Machine Love, and more. A full trailer for the DLC premiere will go live on Jamie Paige's official YouTube page immediately after the video. The DLC releases July 27th on all platforms for $9.99 USD.
Owners of UNBEATABLE'S BREAKOUT EDITION DLC will also receive "SQUARE UP (synthetic)" upon getting the Jamie Paige Content Companion DLC (you can also do it the other way around. All that matters is if you get both DLC packs, you get the extra song as a little bonus.)
Rachel, the game's producer, then announced new merch in collaboration with The Yetee, including new t-shirt designs based on characters Beat, Quaver, Treble, and Poco & Apoco (together!). We have a Beat Plush and Quaver Figure also still available for pre-order with Youtooz, going live for four more days.
Andrew, the game's other director, presented the game's 2.0 update, a big free patch releasing today - adding additional characters, highly requested features and quality of life improvements, fixing even more things as well. Japanese and Chinese localization is being added on July 27th as a part of PATCH 2.1.
After Andrew's appearance, RJ returns to announce The UNBEATABLE BREAKOUT EDITION EP, including the original songs from the BREAKOUT EDITION DLC, which will be available for pre-order on Bandcamp. Streaming will be coming later in July. A MOON CHILD collaboration has been announced as a free update coming late in August. A mobile version is revealed to be in development.
The presentation closes with both the reveal of UNBEATABLE's upcoming Switch 2 version (also releasing July 27th alongside the Jamie Paige DLC) and the announcement of a physical release of the game, courtesy of iam8bit. Details on pre-orders for the physical edition, which will include the BREAKOUT EDITION DLC, will be revealed later in July. And that's all for now. Have fun!
